| JV: Bishop Walsh, Clay Battelle play to 8-8 tie |
| Bishop Walsh piled up the yardage but had to settle for an 8-8 tie with Clay Battelle in their junior varsity football game Monday afternoon.Myles Clifford put the Spartans on the board with a 67-yard dash for a first-quarter touchdown. Jared Mathews ran for the conversion, and BW held that 8-0 lead at the half.Clay Battelle tied it with a defensive touchdown when Edwin Bias scooped up a fumble and ran 45 yards in the third quarter. Josh Bain ran for the conversion.Clifford finished with 154 yards rushing and 36 passing, and Mathews ran for 107 yards and threw for 72 in leading the BW offense.The Spartans play Mountain Ridge on Monday, at 7 p.m., at Westmar. .
